This showed up as a delivery at work today. First one I’ve cleaned so far! We sell a lot more FoSTs, the last FiST I remember seeing on the lot was back in June, so this was cool. Fun little car, but a little too pricey with the Recaro package and stuff, IMO. Still, probably my favorite color and wheel combo on this.

I am now upset that my FiST doesn’t have the new black wheels.

Also do you know if it’s possible to order a FiST with the euro-spec projector lights?

They look damn good when they’re clean. Problem is, they’re harder to keep clean, and they look like crap when dirty (as these were before I cleaned it).

To my knowledge, no. But maybe some strings could be pulled? If not, I’m sure there’s replacements.

I dunno, I usually HATE black wheels on darker cars. But these looked pretty damn good, IMO. Not worth the extra $375, but still.

Was the dirt from road dirt or brake dust? Or does the brake dust get rid of the shine?

And yeah, I’ve heard some people pulled some strings and had some shipped from Europe. Wish they were offered in the US, projectors would be really nice on this car.

In all seriousness, it is worth the money. The recaros are a serious piece of kit. You feel it in competition. And they are very comfortable once they’re broken in. Plus the heated seat feature is a godsend.

They’re not for everyone, but FiST owners rarely drive around with sour looks on their faces, especially in the snow. The FoST being so close in price with such a pwoer boost means the riff-raff get the FoST......the truly insane get the FiST.

Oh, it was just road dirt and filth from sitting in our storage lot for a while. But I can bet brake dust will be a riot with these.

To be honest, I’m really not sure why they don’t have they on the USDM ones. Isn’t that more complicated than one common headlight??

I test drove this exact car last week. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get away fast enough and I can’t buy it.

I can only imagine that the projectors didn’t meet some US spec. Euro even has projectors with and without DRLs. And the DRLs make the car look amazing

It’s SO good looking. Even when it was filthy it looked great. What color is yours?

I dunno, my problem is justifying $24k towards a tiny hatchback. Sure, the Recaro are great, but the beauty of the FiST is when they’re super cheap, IMO. When they’re this pricey, you can basically buy a FoST ST1 at the same price. It’s an EXTREMELY fun car, and it feels much more tossable that the FoST, but I’d have a base one if I were to get one.

Mine is performance blue. It’s a bit lighter in shade and has a bright flake to it.

Look at it this way - you are probably going to pay 24k out the door. I paid about 23.8k if I recall before my wheel warranty. Which isprobably gonna get used if I keep driving own pothole lane and speedbump ave. for work......But in any case, the FOcus is bigger, heavier, harsher ride (less height and clearanceIIRC), and the steering is more numb in general. Plus the 1.6 can get good mileage. Oh and the FiST is like 200$/mo for insurance LESS than a FoST in michigan. The FoST has a secret sledgehammer it can deploy thanks to the extra motor, but the Fiesta often ends up just as fast on an autocross course.

Now......the FoST isFAR more practical. It really is a family car if you need one. The FiST is a bachelor car.

This thread reminds me of why people buy FoSTs instead: They really need to move the FiST upmarket.

I’m sure they’re a lot of fun to drive, of course.

I love my FiST (‘15 Molten Orange w/ gray Recaros and the Rado wheels), and never hate to be behind the wheel of it.

I sold my C6 before buying the FiST, my long time car buddy thinks I’m nuts, but he didn’t get why Miatas are so awesome either since he’s a V8 or nothing guy. Meanwhile he drives a freaking previous gen Fusion!

I’m going to pick up some 16s w/ some RE-71Rs once it gets closer to the warmer weather - I like the stock wheels, but I know I’m going to bend one since the sidewall is ridiculous. Right now I have 15" steelies w/ General Altimax Arctics mounted since mine came w/ the summer tires.

I’m sadly only running the Cobb OTS Stage 0 tune with the snow tires on because they spin too easily w/ my regular tune, and it allows me to run 87 while I’m just mostly putting around :) Can’t wait for spring - sticky tires, and I can finally install my intercooler, and go back to my Tune+ tune.
